📌 Quick Summary: The Super Eagles face Tanzania twice in November in Group L of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers: at home on Wednesday 11 November (6:00 pm WAT, expected in Uyo) and away on Sunday 15 November (6:00 pm WAT, expected in Dar es Salaam). Nigeria have three points after two games, behind leaders Guinea-Bissau on six. Tanzania are co-hosts and already qualified, so only the highest-ranked non-host team in Group L will go through. Coach Eric Chelle’s November squad had not been confirmed in the sources we checked; this page will need updating when the NFF publishes it.

Results So Far in Group L
- Matchday 1 (Friday 25 September): Nigeria 2–1 Madagascar in Uyo, with goals from George Ilenikhena and Usor. Guinea-Bissau beat Tanzania 2–0.
- Matchday 2 (Tuesday 29 September): Guinea-Bissau 3–0 Nigeria in Bissau, which left Nigeria’s hopes resting on the remaining matches. Madagascar and Tanzania drew 1–1.
How Qualification Works: Why Only One Place Is Available
Because Tanzania are co-hosts with Kenya and Uganda, only the highest-ranked team outside the host qualifies from Group L, according to Afrik-Foot and Legit.ng. That means Nigeria, Guinea-Bissau and Madagascar are fighting for one place in Group L. Tanzania cannot take a spot, but they can still hurt Nigeria’s chances by taking points.
Nigeria therefore need to finish above both Guinea-Bissau and Madagascar. Winning both Tanzania games would lift them to nine points, but Guinea-Bissau and Madagascar also play each other in the November window.
