The film’s pleasure is watching Isime’s Chioma turn her captivity into a chessboard. Daniel Etim-Effiong plays the ex with a wounded vanity that curdles beautifully, and Kasum keeps the screws tightening for the full runtime.
Verdict: EbonyLife’s best original this year. A thriller that trusts its actress completely.
