Sarah and Kemi thought they had buried the past with Kola Ademola. Season two drags it back up: his family closing in, law enforcement circling the evidence, and new enemies who understand exactly what the two women are capable of.

Ini Dima-Okojie and Nancy Isime have deepened into these roles, playing guilt and loyalty as two sides of the same wound. The direction splits between Kayode Kasum’s polish and Daniel Oriahi’s menace, and the show is better for the tension between them.

Verdict: The strongest Nigerian series Netflix has produced. Binge it in one sitting; you will anyway.
